I don't think there would be a 7552 exhibition simply because the PAW just ended. Anarians wouldn't have time or money for that and feelings might still be pretty raw, especially since the War ended in a truce. No one feels victorious at the moment, seems to me.

As for the first exhibition, maybe Tom would like Auresia to host? A grand exhibition seems like just the kind of thing the Auresians would do to showcase they're still a/the leading country in the world and how quickly they've overcome the devastation of the War. What say, Tom? Maybe in 7557??

I like the idea of Kamura participating in Stachelort. And it would be a good lead-in to Kamura hosting their own, perhaps in 7582.

But I think it would make sense for the new Technate to be keen to host an Expo - it would be keen to show itself off to the world, I'm sure! If a joint Expo does happen, Anisora might boycott the Aedelish one but participate in the Kamuran one - despite the distances involved! So there might be interesting politics there.
This could be interesting.

As for 7577 in Stachelort, it'll be hosted in/near the capital Seetor. There will be a monument to the War, the Pan-Anarian International Memorial. It will have 5 Aschgaet Alliance and 5 United League panels with each country to have inscribed as they wish. On the Alliance side, Penryn, Halland, and Ådalen will share a panel. On the League side, Mörenburg, New Hapsburg, New Stoldavia, and New Südentor will share a panel; main countries will have their own panel. Since Stachelort does not recognize the Bind, the Wolgos won't have a panel or a mention on the memorial. The panels won't be large enough to list millions of names of the dead. Stachelort's panel will list number killed by march by year. There will also be 3 central panels on which all the various battles will be listed, dates of the war, and total losses, maybe even total involved.

Exhibition grounds will include a main building for fine arts and smaller (business?) exhibitors. There will be space for participating countries to build/have built their own pavilions on the grounds.

With the theme "A Quarter-Century of Peace and Prosperity", there's a lot of room for whatever anyone wants to showcase, such as industry, technology, culture, etc.

RE: The Gotha Exhibition
Halland only has two cities mentioned on the wiki, the capital Hightam in the "english" speaking part and Haadplak, the largest city in the "frisian" part. Given the background of the country, organizing it in a city on the Hallinger peninsula or in the old capital (only named XXX...) might be politically more feasible. With the added bonus that any player wanting to take over Halland only has a non-pivotal city outlined.

About the ideas of a Kamuran / Aedelish one. If Aedeland changed color late 7579 or early 7580, then getting everything in order for an expo in 7582 seems like very short notice. And therefore exact the thing we would expect from them LOL.

Five short years after the end of the PAW doesn't seem like a wise option for Auresia, who probably was the one of (if not the) worst off of the major players in the conflict at its conclusion. I'd imagine it's taken nearly the entire intervening period from the conclusion of hostilities in 7552 to modern date - a period of nearly 30 years - to get Hattaria and the surrounding areas back on their feet and restore normalcy for the populace.

I'm considering either Porto Imperiale or Lutant as the candidates for an Auresian expo, but I've not yet settled my choice. I'll give it some further consideration and let you guys know in the next few days, hopefully. With everything going on right now, my wife's salon has to shut for two weeks and we're making sure we're secure for the interim. We'll be fine, just taking precautions. :-)

RE: The Gotha Exhibition
OK here we go. The 7567 expo in Halland took place in Ringmear on the Hallinge peninsula. Ringmear is the 3rd or 4th largest city in Halland, so I am going to take my inspiration from expo's like Cork 1902, Dresden and Turin 1911, Ghent 1913 and Malmö 1914.

Horticultural exhibition - with natural gardens (true Orkanan style), aquarium, modern agriculture and with that an exhibition of produce, food and luxury goods.
Clothing, personal care and hygiene (focus on consumers)
Gothan Games - with track and field, team sports, maybe rowing. Not trying to start a rip-off Olympics here, but Ghent and Cork had something like this.
Professional Health Care Exhibition (got that from Dresden, but seems fitting today...)
Chemistry and Science Exhibition (no clue what I am going to do here, mustard gas maybe)
Architecture Exhibition - in the form of contemporary but still rather traditionalist building style, model village 1:1 scale, building technology
Industry hall
Machinery hall - incl. trains, airships, etc
and about 30 "Export halls", one for each participating country.

It might be that both the focus on the biological aspects (garden, health, food) as well as aiming towards an average citizen are two new elements compared with previous events. I think I will be skipping the entire colonial and native culture thing, since I don't want to assume too much about what kind of colonial setting Halland might have.

Nice! I like the sound of this, and the monuments to the War. I imagine it will be one of the more solemn Expos, considering the theme - but also hopeful, reflecting on the prosperity of peace! I'll have to have a think about the sort of pavilion Anisora would build, and what its theme would be. I have a feeling the Anisoran prime minister won't be able to resist making it a celebration of free trade, which considering the Straits Cartel tensions at the time would probably be received with mixed reviews!

It does indeed! But perhaps Aedeland applied to host the Expo prior to the Revolution. I imagine there would be an international committee or something that would decide when each country can host an Expo. I think it could pose an interesting context to the Aedelish Expo - with questions about whether it can still happen, and maybe announcements of boycotts if it still goes ahead. Etc. Could create some interesting game for us all.

Sounds good to me Tom! What date are you thinking of hosting? 7562? Alternatively, if you would prefer Auresia to host it a bit later, I'm happy to swap for 7572 if you think that makes more sense considering war damage etc.

Excellent stuff! I like the spread of events you have planned, and it makes sense to hold off with the colonial stuff considering Halland remains a shell at the moment. What would the overall theme of the Expo be? The theme that participating nations respond to, that is.

And after a week of thinking, still a blank. My first option was "Future Growth" but that sounds a bit too modern. Same for "Produce Health". Then again, World Fairs in RL didn't have themes or slogans back in the 1910's and 20's, so we can take some liberties here. So something along that line. A combination of something natural, almost organic (like growth or health) and progressive technological (like produce and future).
