Bellucente is a major city and metropolitan area of Auresia. Located in northern Dardania Prefecture, an hours drive from the coast, the city is a prosperous trade center and home to markets for old world art and culture. It is also home to many long-established military traditions and institutions.

Bellucente is known by the nicknames "City of Soldiers".

Sites of Interest

Bellucente, as a major city, is governed by a Praetor appointed by the prefectural authorities with approval of the provincial exarch.

The Praetor is assisted in governance of Bellucente by a council of ten men and women, two per district, who represent those districts and also specialize in oversight of the areas of city oversight necessary for maintenance of the metropolis and its services.

The city is part of the Imperial Courts System.

The Bellucente Works, built underneath the city, are extensive facilities where utilities are maintained, power is generated, waste products are disposed of and for some areas where heat is produced. Also, there is an extensive network of defensive bunkers, vaults and warehouses concealed in various parts of the Works, most with limited access.

Bellucente maintains all of the standard transportation modes of a modern major city - foot traffic, buggies and automobiles as well as trolley lines and a metro system.

As one of the major cities of the Empire, Bellucente is provided defense by both fixed fortifications in and around the city and by the nearby bases housing both land and air forces. Law enforcement is provided by the Bellucente Constabulary.
