The Mount Olivia Research & Development Centre - Centro Ricerca e Sviluppo Monte Olivia - is the central R&D site of the Imperial Curia, operated under the auspices of ARSS and the War Research Service. Located in southern Auresia at the base of the Atenian Mountains, it is a sprawling, high-security site that houses numerous facilities dedicated to a vast array of research disciplines. It is the single largest complex in the ARSS network. The installation is also known informally by its official listing in the Imperial Facilities Registry - Facility NÂș 3826.

The MORDC is located at the southern end of Fort Olivia, a major base of the Imperial Armed Forces that serves as protector of the vast installation. Access to MORDC is achieved via a secure route through Fort Olivia itself. From the air, the MORDC appears as a several large buildings around a central dome, connected via small scale, localized transport rail which connects to a central spur which runs outside of the complex.with the fencing and walls of the military base encompassing it, as well, but clearly delineating its separation.

MORDC is separated into four sectors - north, east, west, and south - each of which is home to a complex of facilities which house the laboratories of each of the Four Departments of ARSS. Only dedicated personnel working at Olivia know the layout and the identification system of the buildings. Were one to move about the complex, the laboratories in each sector have only the letter-number identifier on the plate mounted at the entryway. These simple safeguards are intentional and tend to be quite effective. Some foreign scientists and engineers are permitted within Mount Olivia, though this is limited to those of allied states, and those so permitted are required to undergo a thorough security check.

Central - Dome

Situated at the center MORDC, the Olivia Dome is the central administration and coordination facility for the entire installation. Here one finds Administration, Logistics and the Planning & Review Section. Key to the Dome is the conference chambers and offices of the men and women of the Select Committee, who all serve as the collective leadership of both ARSS and Olivia itself.
