Carls Nybygge is a settlement on the island of Gilles Carls on the southern island group of Fisks. The settlement is built around the operational headquarters of Fisks Handelsbolag and as such the de facto capital of Fisks as a member state of Vittmark. It started out as the first Anarian settlement on the islands in 7180 under the name of Rågö. It had a skeleton crew that provided fruit and drinking water to passing ships, mainly from the Greater Stoldavic Empire. After the fall of the Empire, Rågö continued as a freestanding Anarian settlement, allied from time to time to Halland or Helreich. The permanent of Fisks Handelsbolag in 7525 just seemed like another episode in the shifting alliances. But Carl Fisks saw potential in the island group for a permanent settlement of his company. The settlement was renamed Fisks Nybygge in 7527 and the company developed an ambitious plan to build up permanent trading post headquarters here. Harbor facilities on floating pontoons were added as well. The administrative buildings now form the centerpiece of the settlement. After the death of Carl Fisks in 7547 the town was renamed Carls Nybygge. In 7569 Fisks joined Vittmark as a member state, upon which the town became the capital of the territory.

The town has a lower part around the harbor and an upper, more sheltered part in a bowl-shaped valley about 40 metres above sea level. Both parts are connected by a single road. There are about 4,200 citizens registered in the town. Roughly a third of the resident population is of foreign or indigenous descent.

Andersbo

Railway station of Andersbo

Andersbo is a mid sized town in the Vittmarker state of Kötthagen, located about 30 km (20 mi) south of the state capital Vinborg. It is a railway junction town and saw a rapid development between 7567 and 7579 when it functioned as a port concession for the United Royal Provinces.

The town is mainly known for being the source of a massive outbreak of food poisoning in 7554. Since it took three weeks between the first cases and pinpointing the origin to the slaughterhouse in Andersbo, more than 6000 people were contaminated, of which 60 died. The main cause for the Andersbo Epidemic was a combination of high demand for meat products in neighboring Ådalen (which suffered from the Pan Anarian War), untrained staff at the facility and a heat wave. As a result from the outbreak, both Ådalen and Hagen founded State Laboratories in order to help identifying and diagnosing bacteriological and viral diseases. The institutes cooperate closely with staff travelling between the facilities. During these trips, they would have to change trains in Andersbo, where they were reminded of the reason behind their work and cooperation.
